About the speaker

Benoît Vermeire is a Business Engineer (UCL – LSM) who spent a large majority of his career in the biopharmaceutical industry. He took different operational and strategic management roles with a long professional journey within the well-known multinational Pfizer. He has developed a broad knowledge about the health and healthcare sector, in Belgium and also in Europe. His commitment to contribute to “a better health for all” made him move to Sciensano in 2021 with the ambition to bring skills & expertise gained in the private sector into the public health area. He now contributes to improving interactions with Sciensano strategic partners and clients. His background and the diversity of his career enable him to create bridges between scientific, technical and more administrative stakeholders.
